A Message From Vern Steidl, Owner and Care Giver - Regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The world is grappling with an issue of enormous scale and human impact, and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Our highest priorities are the health and safety of our staff and our customers. Some examples of our efforts follow:

We continue to communicate with the client’s family.  We work with the family and agree on the best care we can provide to satisfy the client and at the same time, keep the client and the staff safe

Our staff is aware of how best to keep themselves healthy including washing hands frequently, disinfecting areas of the vehicle shared between clients, as well as social distancing.  Some of our clients have necessary appointments such as dialysis. We are committed to keeping those life saving appointments and helping our clients while keeping them safe.

There comes a time in each of our lives when we or our loved ones need assistance. If you or your loved one is facing health problems, be they temporary or chronic, it may be time to reach out for help. A Helping Hand Home Care is your source for home care giving services in the Mason City, Iowa, area.   With two aging parents, I know the difficulties experienced with the elderly.  Jobs that were once easy to complete become more difficult and exhausting.

A Helping Hand opened in January 2018.  We have 8 employees that help provide personal care for each of our clients everyday.  Our goal is to help the elderly or disabled with daily tasks for them to remain independent whether in their own home or in assisted living.

I keep in constant contact with family members that want to know how their loved one is doing.  I give honest feedback and consider each client a friend.

Please let me know your questions or concerns and we can develop a plan to keep you or your loved one happy and healthy at home.   I would love to meet anyone who needs a little extra help and a consultation is free.
